Discovery NotesThe soil sample was found in an area near a sidewalk. There was grass surrounding the general area where this sample was dug up, and a bush was located nearby. The soil was damp as a result of the precipitation from earlier in the day.
Naming NotesOne of our friends consistently mispronounced Riyaz's name, always enunciating the vowels and saying it in weird ways. We eventually told him how it was properly said, but he decided to keep saying the incorrect name. The name eventually became a joke between us and our roommates, so we decided to make it the name of this phage.
