Discovery NotesBegonia was discovered in a patch of dirt next to a bike rack outside of Clapp Hall, the University of Pittsburgh biology building. There was no nearby vegetation, and on the discovery day, the weather was sunny and about 70 degrees.
Naming NotesI have chose the name Begonia after a song by my favorite band, The Grateful Dead.
