Discovery NotesI discovered this phage in very grainy/sandy soil. This whether was clear and dry but it had rained prior to the soil discovery so the soil was slightly damp. I collected the soil off of a very busy street at the University of Pittsburgh where there had been a water main break a few days prior.
Naming NotesThe name "Love" was chosen because I have a lot of love for this lab and I take care of this phage as if it were my child. Growing up my mother always called me Hailey-bug or Love-bug and I thought it was appropriate to name it "Love" since it is my love bug. Also I think it is cute.
