Discovery NotesThe phage was isolated from garden soil near the broccoli plants in the SMCC garden. After enrichment with Microbacterium foliorum (host), plaque was observed on the first plate. The phage was then purified through five rounds of 6-plate dilutions.
Naming NotesSachet comes from french, which means bag. Named by Florence Mayanga during the SMCC phage discovery project.
