Discovery NotesThe sample the phage was found in was taken from Southern Maine Community College's community garden. The sample was moist, dark soil taken from a tomato patch.
Naming NotesI had Halloween on the brain when I was thinking of a name for the phage. While it isn't a perfect comparison, how phages survive and replicate remind me of vampires. "Alucard" is "Dracula" spelled backwards.
