Discovery NotesCollected September 11th, 2019 at 12:37pm. The air temperature was 32.7°C. A large tree provided shade around the soil collection site. Patches of grass with scattered leaves were noted and a sidewalk was near, so apparent foot traffic was present. Soil was slightly moist. About an 1½ into the ground I collected about four tablespoons of the soil.
Naming NotesMy grandfather is my number one supporter, especially in education. If I ever feel defeated or not smart enough, he is always there to lift me up and remind me to never give up.Therefore, I decided to honor my grandfather with my first contribution to science. His name is Juan Hernandez and he was born in 1944.
