| Discovery Notes | Sample soil was gathered in a compost in the back of a greenhouse. It had rained the previous day so the soil was moist approximately 4-5 inches under the surface where I collected the sample. Soil was collected from compost mainly of rotten vegetables, fertilizer and dead plants making this an ideal candidate for phage samples for isolation. |
| Naming Notes | The name "Boehler" comes from the location in which I collected the sample from. Boehler's Greenhouse is a local, family owned business in which they were generous enough to allow a sample to be taken from their plant compost pile in the back. |
