| Discovery Notes | This phage was found on the middle of a path down in panther hollow that crosses between the railroad tracks and the pond. It had rained the day before and was around 80 degrees F that day. The soil was the wet top layer that people had stepped on. |
| Naming Notes | Demosthenes is the name a character in the Ender's Game series adopts so that she may write deep philosophical papers. I really liked that so I wanted to name one of my phages after her, and in so I also honor the ancient Greek statesman of the same name who tried to keep Athens free form Macedonia. |
