Discovery Notes | he temperature was 68F and humidity 64% at time of dig. Grass was dug up next to the foundation of the house. Location was under an air vent that is connected to the washer and dryer. It produces heat and lint onto the grass outside where the dirt was taken. Grass was ripped out with gloves on until dirt was seen. Dirt was scooped up with fingers into the 15 mL conical tube. |
Naming Notes | Named after a character in the popular anime series Attack on Titan. |

Plaque Notes | In generation 1 our plate was filled with many plaques all about 0.1 cm in diameter and with clean edge margins. Majority of the plaques were not foggy, including the one used for generation 2. The plaque selected by our group to be concentrated more was a large plaque compared to the rest, a little over 0.1 cm in size with very clean edge margins. The second generation plate had less plaques on it then the first generation, these plaques were roughly the same size, 0.1 cm, with relatively clean edges. These plaques were not as clear as generation 1 and seemed a bit more foggy. The plaque from generation 2 that was selected to be concentrated was the largest out of them all, approximately 0.2 cm. This plaque had nice clean edge margins but was much foggier than generation 1. Our group's generation 3 plate contained a lot of larger plaques compared to the rest. These plaques were roughly 3mm in size, most with clean edge margins but still foggier than our generation 1 plaques. The plaque selected from generation 3 to be concentrated further was the largest from the plate, about 0.35 cm in diameter. This plaque had nice clean edges but was slightly foggy and not as clear as some of the other plaques. |
