Discovery Notes | Soil was sampled approximately 2-3cm from the base of an outdoor plant, soil was moist, well aerated and rich in organic matter. It was then stored in a 40ml airtight specimen jar 24hours before phage enrichment with Mycobacterium Smegmatis. |
Naming Notes | Phage name is a combination of my nickname (Little Kenky), and my late little sister's name (Minnie) who I never got to see, both names special to my mom so my phage honours us as her girls and carries comfort. |
