Discovery Notes | The moist soil sample was taken 2.5 cm deep from the organic vegetable patch in my backyard, where tomato plants are grown. |
Naming Notes | The local park in North Brunswick is called Sabella Park, where I searched for soil samples this summer. As a child, I remember loving the swings and playing soccer at this park, so I named my phage "sabella". |

Plaque Notes | Sabella has two different morphologies: some of the plaques are 0.1 cm in diameter, while others are 0.15 cm in diameter. This notable difference was tested multiple times, so the phage population of this lytic phage is consistent and contains two morphologies. All the plaques are clear and round with smooth edges. |

Has been Phamerated? | Yes |
