Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected from the front area of the middle greenhouse at the Roger Clapp Greenhouse. The sample was slightly damp on the surface but mostly dry beneath the flower bed.
Naming NotesSince the soil came from right beneath the flowers, where it was shaded and slightly damp, the name “Shadow” reflects the cool, dark area under the plants where the sample rested, while “Bud” represents the growth and life surrounding it.
