Discovery NotesMontpel was isolated from biofilm residues on the inner walls of the municipal compost container in Montpellier, France.The sample consisted of moist organic compost in an advanced stage of decomposition, containing a heterogeneous mix of food waste, plant matter, and microbial biofilms on the container's interior surfaces.
