Archetta was isolated from an enrichment culture inoculated with loose soil taken beneath a tree. The sample was collected on October 3rd, 2012 by student Ethan Sim.
DNA preparation was performed by Dr. Krisanavane Reddi (UCLA). The genome was assembled by Wiliam Villella (UCLA) and confirmed by Dan Russel of the University of Pittsburgh.
