| Discovery Notes | Polymorphads was isolated and purified at 32 degrees Celsius from a soil sample taken from a compost patch.
The sample was obtained on August 20, 2014. This phage was discovered in a SEA-PHAGES lab course. |
| Naming Notes | The plaque morphology had a large variation in size. The first part of the name comes from this shift in plaque size from plating to plating. The last three letters of the name represented an abbreviation of my name used by certain members of my family. |

| Plaque Notes | The plaques were always circular in shape and clear. Their sizes varied significantly. The largest plaque diameter measured was about 3.0mm and the smallest was around 0.2mm. While analyzing growth characteristics it was observed that Polymorphads does not produce plaques when incubated at 42 degrees Celsius. |
