Discovery NotesCarter removed the top foliage first then collected over 5g of soil, digging about 2 inches deep and an inch wide for our second sample. The soil was dark and moist. The weather was sunny with scattered clouds and was 38°C with a humidity of 30%. We then returned the samples to the lab and added 5g to the completed medium prepared by Dr. McLoud and Dr. Baliraine
