Discovery Notes | The soil sample was received from a pre potted plant inside a domesticated chameleon’s cage. The temperature of the house that the cage is kept in ranges between 66-70F. The cage that contains the soil has layers ranging from 60-100F, at the time of collection the range of temperature when the plant is located was around 63F. A plastic spoon was used to disturb the dirt and take a sample from about ½ inch below top solid level around 3pm on 9/19/22. The sample was placed into a plastic sample tube provided by the professor. The solid was dry and clumpy in the collection tube and about 4ml of water was added to provide moisture to the sample. Overall the collection area was very dry. The sample was then stored in a fridge at 40C for 22 hours and 50 minutes. |
Naming Notes | Named after the domesticated chameleon who inhabits the cage that the soil was taken from. The soil was taken from a potted plant in the cage. |

Plaque Notes | There were so many plaques that they stretched across the entire plate. The majority of the plaques were very small, about 0.1 cm in diameter and were very turbid. However, there were also a few large plaques about 0.3 cm in diameter. The edges were also turbid across all the plaques. |
