| Plaque Notes | My phage had an interesting morphology. I think that my phage is able to switch between the Temperate and Lytic Cycle's. The really cool thing is that I believe that my phage is density dependent with regard to plaque size. When there is a high concentration of pfu on a plate then the plaques appear very small. But when the concentration is less, the plaques tend to be MUCH bigger. I'm not sure if this is a known characteristic of plaques, since I didn't read anything about it in the manual, but this is my theory about why my phage changes plaque size so often. |
