Naming Notes | During the processes of phage titer assays, this phage had acquired the nickname "The Great Plaquesby" which was inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby." Based off of this nickname, the name James was chosen to represent James Gatsby from the novel. Since James is such an exciting phage, it couldn't be more fitting that his name comes out of a novel written about the roaring 1920s in America. |
