From enriched soil sample?No
Isolation Temperature30°C
GPS Coordinates37.00111 N, 86.43 W Map
Discovery NotesSample was collected directly below the surface of clear, free flowing river water. May have contained sediment from nearby rocks. Sample was refrigerated for 48 hours.
Naming NotesI chose this name for my phage because the plaques formed from the initial spot plate produced plaques with halos around them, and the halos reminded me of how the Sun's rays can appear.

Plaque NotesAt lower dilutions, a few 1mm clear plaques and numerous 0.5mm turbid plaques are formed. At higher dilutions, only 1mm clear plaques are formed. This suggests that mutants are present in the phage population.
