| Discovery Notes | Extremely rural location. No roads nearby and closest trees are approximately 12 meters away. Soil was collected from a garden bed. 80% humidity at time of collection. Sunny weather conditions. |
| Naming Notes | This soil sample was collected from the discoverer's father's garden. Specifically, the bed of soil that it was collected from previously grew potatoes. As a young child, her father always joked that if she were a boy, she would have been named "Fester." The name chosen combines these two ideas with the addition of "Ph" for phage. Therefore, the name of this phage is Phester Photato. |

| Plaque Notes | Most plaques have diameters of 7 mm while a few have diameters of 4 mm. Every plaque has three rings to form a distinct bullseye: a very clear center, a less clear middle ring, and a cloudy outer ring. The plaques are turbid rather than clear. |
