Discovery NotesFound in the garden just post heavy rain and before continued heavy rain. Walked outside, dug the soil, and discovered the sample /phage. The soil was rich, in the past plenty of crops grew there, indicating a fertile environment.
Naming NotesThe name "Topiatin" is derived from the Greek concept of "topia," which relates to "place" or "location" (inspired by the idea of an ideal place or utopia). Since the name "Utopia" was already taken, the "top" from "topia" was kept, and "tin" comes from the last three letters of my name, Martin. The name symbolizes a phage that would be of utility, helping lead us closer to a utopian society while marking my personal involvement in the discovery.
