| Discovery Notes | Soil was collected at 9:30 PM, on September 5th, 2012. The outside temperature was 72 degrees Fahrenheit, with humidity. Soil was taken from around a four inch depth. Soil was compact with a limited amount of moisture. Collected from an urban environment - prone to foot traffic and other forms of pollution. |
| Naming Notes | Considering that "Lapin" in French means rabbit, and that the children's book, "The Velveteen Rabbit," is one of the greatest children's stories, I decided to name this phage, Mycobacteriophage Velveteen. |
