| Discovery Notes | The soil was collected near a trail at Lake Lenape in Mays Landing, New Jersey. I dug around 40.6 centimeters into the ground in between a tree and a mushroom and collected the sample which was slightly sandy and wet. |
| Naming Notes | The soil was obtained from a spot located next to a fungus known as "Old Man of the Woods." The scientific name for this fungus is strobilomyces strobilaceus, so I named the phage "strobilo" for short. |
